Leading by Example

Leading by example is the true mark of a leader, and no doubt that leadership requires much from you. While being a leader isn’t for everyone, and not everyone is born to be a leader, remember that when you teach by doing, you are bound to win.

Leading others is all about teaching others by showing them what to do and how to do it. This means no hoarding of information and no reservation about giving them “your secrets”. If you want to build your home business, the only way you can do so is by sharing the “how to” with others. Did anyone ever tell you that you should work at your job as if the business were your own?

While everyone has their own leading by example definition, you should know that leaders generally possess the same qualities all around. So, what does leading by example really mean? How can you be a leader on a daily basis and get others to listen to you and follow through with what you tell them? I am going to share with you what I have learned from the leaders in my community, and how you can easily implement what you learn on a regular basis to get your business moving and build a following!

Leading by Example Means Learning Well from Others

If you want to be a leader, you must be willing to be lead. There is no mystery when it comes to leading and leading right. I know many so caled gurus that consistently steer people in the worst directions, and they are constantly trying to get people to just throw money at business opportunities that don’t work, nor are they something that individuals can duplicate.

I learned this by working with and listening to leaders in the online marketing  space like:

  1. Mark Hoverson
  2. Lawrence Tam
  3. Glenn Arcaro

There are so many to name I couldn’t possible list them all here, but what I can tell you is that when you follow those that have had success, you can learn a lot from them. You can simply take a look at who they are, what they believe, and how they implement that into their business. You also need to know that a real leader, is one that not only shares with you what to do, but they do it themselves.

Don’t be the person that doesn’t do what you recommend to others! No one will ever believe you!

What Happens When You Aren’t Leading by Example

What can you expect from others when you aren’t leading by example? Not much. If your team doesn’t see you doing it, they won’t. People go by what they see, even if deep down inside they know better. Don’t be disappointed if people don’t seem to listen or produce if you aren’t teaching how and showing them how!

The saying goes, that the proof is in the pudding, and it’s true. ¬†Again, if you ask them to do something but you aren’t doing it, don’t expect them to do something for your our put up results. It just won’t happen. Even if your teammates appear to be rather ambitious at first, just remember they are still human. All of us human beings need guidance and oftentimes evidence to go and do.

Now that you can see why leading by example is necessary, and why it’s an important part of your business, you can go HERE to learn more about how you can keep building as a true leader.
